There only left a few hours before the start of one of the world’s largest Atlassian events – Atlassian Summit 2019. So why it is so expected and what interesting will be there?

It will last only 3 days, but all the participants will be able to attend pre-conference training courses and a welcome reception with the founders on Tuesday. On Wednesday the attendants will get the opportunity to experience two days of sessions, watch the product demos, Keynotes, and really inspiring talks. After all these exciting things, everyone will celebrate the end of Summit with Bash and the hackathon, called Shipit Live.

For who?

Of course, you might have read at the Atlassian site, that this event is the biggest annual user conference, and that hundreds of teams of all sizes and industries come together and get inspired to transform the way they work, but still you should remember that it’s just a business.

So, first and foremost, the Summit will be really useful for:

  • Atlassian consulting companies
  • Project managers, Marketing managers, Jira users and administrators
  • Independent vendors and developers

Atlassian Summit is always an event where the largest crowding of users and enthusiasts of Atlassian tools happens, seeking to connect to find out how to leverage their business and skills, so there will be room for everyone!

What to expect from the Atlassian Summit 2019?

Day 1.

The official opening of Summit takes place on 9 April, 2019 and starts at 5 pm (PST). The Speakers are Scott Farquhar, co-founder and CEO of Atlassian, and Shawn Achor, best selling author (The Happiness Advantage, Big Potential) and guest speaker. The topic of this general session is How truly working together makes everyone better. Together Scott and Shawn are going to reveal all the secrets of how to unleash your team’s potential.

The other events of the day will be Partner Day – an exclusive event for all worldwide Atlassian Solution Partners and Marketplace Vendors, Training Partners and Corporate Resellers, during which everyone will be able to learn valuable insights to gain a competitive edge. All Summit participants can also attend Jira training courses and workshops.

Day 2.

The second day will start with another general session, based on the thought of how agile and collaborative practices that have characterized software teams are now necessary elements for all teams to succeed, especially modern IT teams. All the participants will get the inspiration from Atlassian co-founders Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar, who started the company soon after graduating from college, and funding it with the credit cards, and now are so successful that without any sales team, have as their customers Tesla, Nasa, and SpaceX companies.

Other speakers will also be the Head of Product Management, Anu Bharadwaj,

and the Head of Server and Enterprise of Atlassian – Cameron Deatsch, who has held a variety of roles at Atlassian and is currently focused on growing the company’s enterprise business.

During the day the participants will be able to attend many useful workshops and training sessions and watch the products’ demo.

Day 3.

The third and the last day of the Summit will also start with another general session also handled by Scott Farquhar and Mike Cannon-Brookes, as well as Jay Simons, the President of Atlassian.

The other speakers will be Dominic Price – he’s now gallivanting around the world learning and sharing about the Future of Work, Agility at Scale, and Adapting businesses, and Megha Narayan, the Head of Brand at Atlassian, where she is currently learning and laughing with a group of talented designers, marketers, writers, and everyone in between.

They will be talking about their feelings of open work, as they say, that it’s already in their DNA.

Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar with Jay Simons will also be there for a lively and very open Q&A and take a look back at 10 years of Atlassian Summit.

Another great event of the third day of the Summit is Shiplt Live, or hackathon. The teams will take part in the 24-hour race to create a tool that works with Atlassian software.

The Summit ends up with the Bash – the biggest Atlassian party of the year, where all guests will enjoy food, drinks, music and games, so no one will be bored.

Unfortunately, there will be no chance to participate in all Summit events, as it will be a great number of different pieces of training, workshops and expo halls. You can find the whole schedule of events here: https://www.atlassian.com/company/events/summit/schedule .
